On June 5, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao at invitation attended the Danish National Day reception held by Danish Ambassador to China Friis Arne Petersen.

Song made positive comments on Sino-Danish relations, stressing that China regards Denmark as an important partner and is willing to work together with the Danish side to maintain the momentum of high-level visits, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in such fields as trade, environmental protection, innovation and scientific research and improve the level of bilateral relations.

Petersen pointed out that Denmark cherishes the current good momentum for the development of Denmark-China relations and is willing to promote in-depth development of bilateral cooperation in various fields and make positive efforts to push forward EU-China ties.
