On October 13, 2009, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks in the Foreign Ministry with visiting Sudanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ali Ahmed Karti, exchanging views on bilateral ties, Sudan's north-south peace process and the Darfur issue.
