Li Keqiang Meets with Parliament Speaker Josip Leko of Croatia

On the morning of November 26, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang met at the Great Hall of the People with Parliament Speaker Josip Leko of Croatia, who was in China to attend the 4th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC).

Li Keqiang expressed that the 4th Summit of China and the CEEC held in Suzhou achieved fruitful results and charted new course for the development of 16+1 cooperation.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China values its friendly cooperation with Croatia, and is willing to, under the framework of "cooperation initiative involving the three port areas" proposed by China, actively participate in infrastructure construction including the Rijeka port and Rijeka-Hungary railway, and deepen cooperation in agriculture, agricultural product processing, aviation, tourism and other areas between the two countries. It is hoped that bilateral legislative bodies can enhance communication to add new vigor to China-Croatia friendship and cooperation.

Josip Leko noted that the 4th Summit of the CEEC and China achieved positive results, which are beneficial to the development of Croatia-China relations. The Croatia–China relations are sound and healthy. The Croatian side expects to launch bilateral cooperation in port, railway, airport and other projects at an early date and strengthen bilateral cooperation in tourism, food processing and other aspects.
