Chinese Ambassador Shen Zhifei met with Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on April 3, 2012.

Ambassador Shen conveyed the greetings from Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and expressed that the friendly cooperation between the two countries had developed greatly since the establishment of diplomatic relations, laying a solid foundation for the future development, and that the EU membership of Croatia in the near future would bring a new opportunity to the development of that relations. He also hoped that both sides would take full use of the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in making the partnership relations of complete cooperation between China and Croatia more mature, more stable and more effective from the present level.

Premier Milanovic asked Ambassador Shen to pass his cordial greetings and good wishes to Premier Wen Jiabao, and expressed that the Croatian government was satisfied with the statue's quo of the present development of relations between Croatia and China and is willing to deepen the mutual trust on political relations and to push forward, through the joint efforts from both sides, the pragmatic cooperation on all sectors, so as to develop Sino-Croatian relations to even higher level.

Mr. Qian Yongchang, Counselor on Economic Affairs and other officer of the Chinese Embassy were present at the meeting.
