Chinese Embassy in Croatia Holds an Informal Meeting on Police and Consular Protection of Overseas Chinese in Croatia

On July 31st, on invitation of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Croatia, Chinese and Croatian police officers from the capital, who were participating in the joint police patrol, together with the Fund of Overseas Chinese in Croatia, held an informal meeting on police and consular protection of Overseas Chinese in the ''Great Wall" Trade Center. China-Croatia joint police patrol team leader, leader from the Zagreb First Police Station, officers from the Zagreb Migration Center, employees from the Chinese Embassy in Croatia and Chinese people in Croatia participated in the meeting.

Deputy Chief of the Zagreb First Police Station Mr.Ante Marić and the team leader of Chinese side joint patrol police officers Mr. Liang Shuzhen focused on introducing the police report form in Chinese language, especially designed for Overseas Chinese and Chinese tourists in Croatia, answered the questions about handling police situation involving Chinese people, investigation and prosecution of the cases and other related issues. Zagreb Migration Center and the Embassy explained and answered the questions about the process of visa approving, legalization of documents and other. Overseas Chinese who participated in the meeting thanked the Chinese Embassy for organizing this event. Through this meeting, they gained a deeper understanding of the way Croatian police and immigration institutions handled cases, which had increased their trust in living a safe life and starting a business in Croatia.
